Electrostatically dissipative yarns (ESD)
Surface discharging yarns (ESD) made of carbon prevent the electrostatic charging of textiles. Blended yarns made of polyester and polyamide, which are twisted with carbon or air-textured, are used in surgical and cleanroom clothing as well as in mite-proof and blood plasma-proof fabrics such as hypoallergenic laundry and upholstery fabrics.
