Twisted and twisted yarns – beag® twistTec
Yarns can be turned or twisted together or blended with another yarn. Furthermore, a core thread can be covered, whereby only the wrapping thread “works.” Another option is cross-twisting, where a core thread is covered in the opposite direction to two other threads. The twisted and blended yarns can be produced on ring-, floor- or double-twist twisting machines. The variety of possibilities combinations is virtually limitless.
Depending on how the individual yarns are used, different functions, appearances, and properties can be created. Turned up and twisted yarns are mainly used in weaving. Sizing-free warps can be warped in section or on beams. The thread is extremely resistant to mechanical influences.
