Single covering (SC)
An elastic core yarn (EL) is covered (S or Z) with another yarn. The covering yarn determines the elasticity of the elastic yarn.
Double covering (DC)
An elastic core thread (EL) is covered with two additional yarns. This can be done in the same or opposite direction (SS, ZZ). The first cover thread determines the elasticity of the elastic thread. The second is the thread that provides texture.
