Non-elastic crimped air-texturized yarns – beag® airTex
Yarns texturized using an air nozzle (ATY) have a voluminous, non-elastic character. The air flow creates a resistant yarn with a natural appearance. Due to their characteristic properties, air-texturized yarns are used in the home textiles and sportswear sectors, but also in technical applications.
Principle
The crimp is created by the rebound after the air-mechanical shaping (airjet nozzle). Air-texturized yarns can be post-fixed, which increases crimp stability and reduces shrinkage. These yarns are dimensionally stable, crease- and pilling-resistant, and have high slip resistance. Air-textured yarns are characterized by their natural, cotton-like appearance.
